Parks and Recreation
Dardanelle offers many recreational opportunities. The Carolyn McGee Community Center offers a basketball court, a pickle ball court, a computer room and a performance stage. The Center can be rented for any number of social events or business meetings.
Merritt Park offers baseball and softball fields, playground equipment, picnic area, a nature walking trail, a fishing pond and a skateboard facility. In 2019 a disc golf course was added.
The Veteran's Memorial Park on the river area of the city offers ball fields, picnic area, playground equipment, and a walking trail as well as the host site for festivals.
A new soccer complex is being developed on Pecan Street. The complex you will include several soccer fields for different ages, a play ground, concessions, restrooms and a picnic area.
The Patricia Woodson Memorial Dog Park was opened and dedicated in the fall of 2022. The park is located at the corner of Meyers Street and 5th Street.
Our Gazebo is the site for numerous events throughout the year. In 2023 we completed renovation at 107 N. Front Street of the Riverside Event Center. The Event Center and adjoining alley and the gazebo are available to rent for special occasions such as weddings, meetings, showers, class reunions, etc.
