Dardanelle is a Mayor/City Council form of government. The Mayor oversees the day-to-day activities of the City of Dardanelle and supervises the department heads. Jimmy Witt serves as our Mayor. His duties include enforcing city ordinances, and making sure that the citizens of Dardanelle receive maximum benefits and services for the taxes they pay. The Mayor is required to prepare and submit a budget to the City Council on or before December 1 each year. Also heis required to present a State of the City within the first 90 days of each year giving a complete report on the financial and administrative activities of the city.

The City of Dardanelle is blessed with natural surroundings, making it a great place to live. This locality affords all of us the pleasure of mountains, farmland, forest and streams.
